Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment – Sports Quota Entry 1/2012 Batch: Indian Navy has announced advertisement for the recruitment of sailors through sports quota. Candidates who participated in State / National / International level sports competitions are eligible for the posts. Eligible candidates have to apply through prescribed application format. The following are the details of age limit, educational qualifications, no of vacancies & other information regarding Indian Navy are mentioned below

Indian Navy Sailor vacancy details:-
Name of the post:
1. Direct Entry Petty Officer
2. Senior Secondary Recruitment (SSR)
3. Matric Recruits (MR)
4. Non Matric Recruits (NMR)

Age limit: Candidates should have an age between 17 to 21 years for Senior Secondary Recruitment (SSR), Matric Recruits (MR), Non Matric Recruits (NMR) posts & 17 to 22 years for Direct Entry Petty Officer post.

Educational qualifications: The following are different educational qualifications of various sailor posts in Indian navy
1.Direct Entry Petty Officer – 10+2 (or) equivalent from recognized board
2.Senior Secondary Recruitment (SSR) – 10+2 (or) equivalent from recognized board
3. Matric Recruits (MR) – 10th standard (or) equivalent from recognized board
4.Non Matric Recruits (NMR) – 6th standard

Selection procedure: Short listed candidates based on higher sports achievements will be called for Trails & Medical Examination.

How to apply: Eligible candidates have to download application form from the website www.nausena-bharti.nic.in. The completely filled application form in A4 size paper along with photocopies of achievements, qualifications, age, category & other details should reach “The secretary, Indian Navy Sports Control Board, 7th Floor, Chankya Bhavan, integrated Head Quarters, MoD (NAVY), New Delhi-110021” on or before 16-10-2011.

Last date of receipt of applications: 16-10-2011 (for remote areas: 23-10-2011)

SSC Online – 465 Scientific Assistant vacancies 2011: Staff Selection Commission – SSC has asking online applications from eligible candidates for filling up of 465 Scientific Assistant vacancies in Indian Meteorological Department. Scientific Assistant: 465 posts in Indian Meteorological Department

Age limit: Not Exceeding 30 years as on 28-10-2011, age relaxation as per rules.

Educational qualification: Candidates passed with Bachelors Degree in Science, Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications or Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent with 60% marks.

Application fee: Candidates paid the fee for Rs 100/- for General candidates (No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates) through State Bank of India challan or using online payment facility of State Bank of India.

Selection procedure: The mode of selection is based on written test/interview (personality test).

How to apply: The eligible candidates have to apply through online from the SSC website between 01-10-2011 to 26-10-2011 for part I Registration and 01-10-2011 to 28-10-2011 for part II Registration. Candidates should read the instructions carefully before applying online. The filling of online application contains two parts that is part I Registration and part II Registration.
