SSC Western Region Recruitment 2012 – 61 Various Vacancies: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Western region has announced the advertisement for the recruitment of various vacancies in various departments. Eligible candidates may apply through prescribed application format. Application fee: Eligible Candidates have to pay the fee for Rs 50/- (No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women/EXSM candidates) in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS). These stamps are available at all departmental Post Offices of the country. These stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space provided for the purpose.
Selection procedure: Candidates are selected on the basis of screening test/Interview along with proficiency test.
How to apply: The eligible candidates may apply in prescribed application along with necessary certificates by post to the Office of the Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Western Region), 1st floor, Pratisiitha Bhavan, 101, MK road, Mumbai – 400020 on or before 16/12/2011.

ISRO admin support staff openings.

Indian Space Research Organisation [ISRO] of the Department of Space [DOS] is looking for young, dynamic and dedicated administrative support staff in the categories of ASSISTANT [Post No.1] AND JUNIOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT [Post No.2] in the Pay Band of Rs. 5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs. 2,400/- for filling-up in various ISRO Centres/Units, across India.

Age Limit : 26 years as on 14-12-2011 (31 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 29 years for OBC candidates. Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders.)

How to Apply :The application for on-line registration will be hosted in the ISRO web-site between 22-11-2011 and 14-12-2011. Candidates may visit our web-site at www.isro.gov.in to register their applications on-line between 22-11-2011 and 14-12-2011. Applications will be received on-line only. Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. E-mail ID of the applicant will have to be provided in the application compulsorily.

Payment of Application fee :There will be an Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) for each application. After registration of application on-line, the candidates have to down-load and print the personalized payment challan form, in three parts, from the ISRO web-site which will contain the Name of the candidate, Registration Number, Receipt Account Number, Advertisement No., Post No. and Post Code. The candidates have to visit the nearest branches of State Bank of India for remittance of application fee to Receipt Account No.32034064593 by using the personalized payment challan of State Bank of India on any day between 22-11-2011 and 14-12-2011. The candidates may down-load and print the personalized payment challan from the ISRO web-site on any day between 22-11-2011 and 14-12-2011 and remit the application fee before the prescribed last date ie., 15.12.2011. The Banker's charges of Rs.30/- (Rupees Thirty Only) to be borne by the candidates only. Upon remittance of the application fee, one part of the challan form will be retained by State Bank [Bank copy] and remaining two parts will be given to the candidate. Out of the two challan parts, the candidate has to send one part of the challan form [ISRO copy] to Sr. Administrative Officer (ICRB), ISRO Headquarters, Antariksh Bhavan, New BEL Road, Bangalore -560 231 by post superscribing on the envelope "ICRB - RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT AND JUNIOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT" within 7 days of filing of application and in any case not later than 21.12.2011. The remaining one part of challan form [Applicant copy] shall be retained by the candidate for future reference. The payment shall be made through cash deposit only. Payment of Application Fee in any other form like Cheque, Draft, Money Order, IPO, etc. are not allowed. Applications in respect of which copy of challan form, after remittance of prescribed application fee [ISRO copy] is not received in ISRO HQ, Bangalore on or before 21.12.2011 will not be considered for further processing under any circumstances.

Women, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Ex-servicemen, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee. However, after registration of application on-line, the candidates have to down-load and print the personalized registration confirmation form, in two parts, from the ISRO web-site which will contain the Name of the candidate, Registration Number, Advertisement No., Post No. and Post Code. Out of the two parts of personalized registration confirmation form, the candidates have to send one part [ISRO copy] alongwith a certificate indicated against each category, as below, to Sr. Administrative Officer (ICRB), ISRO Headquarters, Antariksh Bhavan, New BEL Road, Bangalore -560 231 by post superscribing on the envelope "ICRB - RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT AND JUNIOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT" within 7 days of filing of application and in any case not later than 21.12.2011. The remaining one part of registration confirmation form [Applicant copy] shall be retained by the candidate for future reference.

Women Candidate - Attested copy of PAN Card/Voter's ID Card/College ID Card/Passport/Driving License/ Ration Card OR Gender status indicated in certificate issued by the Principal of the College where last studied

SC/ST candidates - Attested copy of Caste Certificate

Persons with disabilities(PWD) - Attested copy of Medical Certificate indicating extent of disability issued by Medical Board

Ex-Servicemen - Attested copy of Discharge Certificate

Applications, in respect of which the above certificates are not received alongwith a copy of the registration confirmation form [ISRO copy] on or before 21.12.2011 will not be considered for further processing under any circumstances.

Those candidates who are already employed under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Bodies have to send a `No Objection Certificate' from the employer concerned, duly indicating the name and Reg. No. on the reverse, to Sr. Administrative Officer (ICRB) , ISRO Headquarters, Antariksh Bhavan, New BEL Road, Bangalore -560 231 with in 7 days of filing of application and in any case not later than 21-12-2011.

Selection Process : The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make candidates eligible to take-up the written test. Based on bio-data, initial screening will be conducted to short-list candidates for taking-up written test. The written test will be conducted on 26.02.2012 [Sunday] at six venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram. The call letters for written test will be sent to the short-listed candidates by e-mail. Candidates short-listed based on the performance in the written test /skill test (wherever applicable) will be called for interview, the schedule and venue of which will be intimated in due course.

Pay and Allowances :The gross emoluments in the minimum of scale will at present be approximately Rs.15,660/- p.m. In addition, employees are also eligible for allowances like HRA, Transport Allowance etc. The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. The Organisation provides for excellent growth potential for the right individuals through its performance review system which ensures that a good performer gets the promotion. ISRO provides free transport [or in lieu transport allowance], limited housing facility for fresh entrants [or in lieu HRA], advances for purchase of conveyance, construction of house, Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance etc. ISRO also provides attractive medical benefits to its employees called "Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS)" by which the employees as well as dependent family members will be covered by the medical scheme. ISRO is extending subsidized canteen facilities to its employees.

Other Conditions/Instructions :
  1. The posts are temporary, but likely to continue.
  2. The appointees are liable to be posted in any of the Centres/Units of the Indian Space Research Organisation/Department of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required. For details of ISRO Centres/Units, please visit ISRO Centers page.
  3. Candidates called for interview will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of details furnished in their applications submitted on-line, at the time of interview. If any information furnished on-line is found to be wrong or false, the candidate will not be interviewed and TA will not be paid.

  5. ISRO reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the posts, if it so desires.
